Ownership and legal standing<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Q1. Who legally owns the brand and the business?<\/strong> Ask for the trade registry record and trademark certificates. Are there any disputes, debts or liens?<\/strong> Tax debts, unpaid suppliers and legal cases can pass to you with the business.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Proof that it works<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Q3. How many branches operate, and for how long?<\/strong> A concept with several branches open more than a year is far safer than a single new store. In Saudi Arabia the law requires franchisors to have at least one year of operations across two outlets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q4. Can I speak to current and former franchisees?<\/strong> Choose them yourself from the full list, not only the ones the seller suggests.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Clarity of the numbers<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Q5. What is the total investment, line by line?<\/strong> Entry fee, fit-out, equipment, deposit, first stock, launch marketing and working capital.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q6. What are the real branch results?<\/strong> Ask for actual sales and costs from existing branches (not only projections), and the assumptions behind any payback period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q7. What are all the ongoing fees?<\/strong> Royalty, marketing fund, technology, training and mandatory supply margins.
