Here is what they check, and how to prepare.<\/p>\n<h2>1. Proof, not promises<\/h2>\n<p>Investors want to see the concept working in more than one place, for more than a year, with real numbers. In Saudi Arabia this is even a legal condition: franchisors need at least one year of operations across two outlets. If you have only one branch, a second company-owned branch is often the best investment in your franchise program.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Unit economics they can check<\/h2>\n<p>Every serious investor will rebuild your numbers: total investment, monthly sales, cost structure, fees, profit and payback. Give them a clean <strong>Investment Summary<\/strong> with the assumptions visible. Hiding assumptions is the fastest way to lose a good investor. A system someone else can run<\/h2>\n<p>If quality depends on the founder, the franchise will not scale. Investors look for documented operations: recipes or service standards, SOPs, training, supplier lists, quality control and reporting.<\/p>\n<h2>4. Legal and brand protection<\/h2>\n<p>Registered trademarks in the right entity and markets, a clear franchise agreement, a disclosure document where required, and no disputes. From October 2026, Saudi Arabia&#8217;s Madrid accession makes Gulf trademark protection easier to organise.<\/p>\n<h2>5. The right fit for them<\/h2>\n<p>Good brands also qualify their investors: budget, experience, location and involvement.
